I don't remember having seen this in the version of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" that was in the theatres here in Doha.

But I found on the DVD a nice surprise about 30 sec-1 minute into the credits.

WHAT?

Not all of us can go buy the DVDs. We checked it out from Blockbuster to get to see it at all.

Oh very well.... :-)

Late at night, Lucy walks towards the wardrobe, opens the door, and reaches inside, finding a solid wood backing. Suddenly, Professor Digory speaks up, telling her she can't get back that way, smiling in a look that mixes amusement and sadness. When Lucy asks if they'll ever go back, the Professor says "Someday, but when you least expect it", and when they walk out of the room, he adds "Just remember to keep your eyes open".

I always liked the scene at the end when the Professor tells them that, while that way may be closed, other ways may be open. :-)

Oh, in the scene in the credits, a couple seconds after the Professor and Lucy leave the room, a golden light shows though the slightly open wardrobe door, and you hear a lion's roar........

Coolness.

Like I said, I hadn't seen it in the theatre, so it was a nice surprise.

The other nice thing about the DVD was being able to pause and see what was on Edmund's throne. In the theatre, I could catch the fact that their presents from Father Christmas were on Peter, Susan, and Lucy's thrones. But since Edmund hadn't gotten a gift, I couldn't tell at first glance what his was. (A sword and a broken wand it turns out)
