It's more the thought than anything else. Earlier this year when that Danish newspaper published some cartoons that could be considered insulting to Islam, certain radical Danish Inams went shopping for outrage, (and showed off some cartoons that were never even IN the newspapers.
The resulting firestorm sparked outrage, demonstrations, riots, deaths, and a couple of Danish embassies getting torched, thoughout the Middle East. Denmark supplied a lot of dairy and produce to the region, and stores started pulling off Danish products while restaurants showed big "No Danish Products" signs.
The boycotts didn't work, the apolgies never happened, and now Danish products are starting to sneak back in with little hoopla or fanfare
