Er, don't they know the original meaning of the term prairie muffin???

*I* certainly wouldn't want to identify with a term synonymous with a cow patty, no matter how affectionately it was intended.

Obviously they are proud to be treated like shit.

I noticed there was a paragraph about how they deplore the participation of women in the military. Whoohoo, I'm anathema.

I read more on the website that hosts them...they don't believe that women should vote. Holy fuck.

Of course not. That's a distraction from making sure the master of the house is taken care of, babies are popped out, and God is properly glorified by all they do. Voting, like all other civic obligations, should be the role of the Man in all his manly worth.

Excuse me while I go barf in a corner.........

Well, while I agree that a woman has the right to choose to be the property of her husband, as this manifesto implies, I do not believe the role should be forced upon them by religion. Unlike the writer of the manifesto, who apparently disapproves of feminism, I think that a woman has the right to choose her own role. Ironically, in a democracy, slavery should be voluntary.

Just out of genuine curiosity (and really not trying to start a flame war), do you also believe that a man has the right to choose to be the property of his wife?

Of course. Not only do I believe in symmetrical rights as a given, but one sees it in the BDSM community all the time.

Feared I was being misogynistic? [grin] Nay, worry not. Although I've been known to make teasing remarks from time to time. [wicked grin]

I was just making sure this was a place I wanted to hang out [g]. I'm glad it is.

[bowing from the waist] I'm glad you've decided to stay.

Me, I post here but intermittently, so if my departure would have made you more comfortable, I suspect that would have been doable. I'm very glad it's not necessary, though.
