PenBay Vets readies for pet, stuffed animal party

"The PenBay Vets medical staff will be turning expertise in animal care to stuffed animals when it holds a party for pets, people and stuffed animals on July 29. 

If your dog's nails need a trim, if you would like to tour an AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited animal hospital, and if there is a favorite family stuffed animal in need of a few stitches to seal a tear or secure an eye, "PenBay Pet and People Party" on Saturday, July 29, should be your destination. The party begins at 10 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m.

Sponsored by PenBay Veterinary Association and Yankee Clipper, a dog grooming center and pet boutique, featured party activities will include tours of the animal hospital and the grooming center, dog agility demonstration and a nail trim clinic for canines.

PenBay Vets medical staff will also treat injured stuffed animals in a special "MASH" (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) tent."

I wish this hospital could save my Snuffles bear, but after more than 20 years I think it is time to retire him. My cat (who really seems to think he's a dog)knocked him off a shelf recently and started softing him. By the time I discovered the situation, the bear was missing a lot of his fur and had been pretty well flattened.

I'm hoping one of my friends will find me another Snuffles soon, though no one could really replace him. In the meantime, my cat is lucky he hasn't been skinned. :(

Well, dpending on what colour the Snuffles is, finding another one should be easy.

One of mine, Tom, is a well traveled bear. California, Texas, Washington, Oregon, Detroit, Vancouver BC, Amsterdam, and Doha, Qatar.............
