It is it is... Back in the day, I lived downtown. The building I lived in at the time had a door in the sub basement. We opened it up and there was a lot of trash and sidewalk. When I was in college the second time, I worked at a print shop (think kind of like a bindery, not Kinko's) They stored paper and what not in their portion of the underground.

The tour itself is very entertaining. When I hosted Callahanicon back in the day, folks went to that and had an absolute blast.

YES. The one time I went to Seattle (and almost moved) that was #1 on my list of Places To Go. It was a little disappointing though, because I expected it to look more like a covered-over street than it did.

We can add that to the list. :-) We'll be in that area anyway between the market and the international district.

I did the tour in September. It's *hilarious.* Gives you a new appreciation for standard flush toilets that don't explode at high tide. :)

I was up in Seattle a month ago and my brother and I took the tour. It was great - very recommended!

I didn't realize from the website and guidebook that while it's an "underground" tour, you spend about as much time outside on the city streets as you do in the actual underground passages - so dress appropriately for the weather, and be aware that if it's raining, you *will* get wet. Lucky for us, we managed to hit the 3 hours in the time we spent in Seattle when it *wasnt'* raining :)

Having been BORN in Seattle, I've always wanted to visit & this underground tour is on my 'top 5' list of things to do!! I'll be looking forward to hearing what you think of it! (Are you gonna visit the SF museum too, or is that a silly question??) ^_^
