Never offend someone who goes by the name "moonbunny" or "moondaisy" or some such nonsense. They have nothing better to do with their lives than harass people they disagree with.

This started when Wren's Nest over at The Witches Voice posted an article about the Bonsai Kitten website.

Now, anyone with an IQ above room temperature knows this is a parody site, you know, joke, humour?

However, it seems there's a batch of fluff-headed, more-righteous-than-thou morons, who seem to do the whole "I don't care if the site in question is satire, I'm offended and I want it removed. Besides, someone with fewer brain cells than I have may actually take it seriously and Ooh, ooh! I don't like it make it go away!"

Sure enough, a batch of people got their panties or boxers in a knot and started bitching about how the site is horrible and must be removed immediately. To which I said:

It's a joke. You know, humour, satire, whimsey..... It's not real!! There is no such thing as a bonsai kitten.

What I find disgusting is PETA, The Humane Society, and others that, because *they* don't find it funny or can't be bothered to check the facts due to their "rightous indignation", want it shut down or otherwise removed. Reminds me of the people who either think that the Landover Baptist site is real, or know it's not real but still want it shut down because they don't find it funny.

Have we, as a culture, gotten so lost in some form of "correctness" that we've been lost to satire and sarcasm. If we have, then Mark Twain an Johnathan Swift lived in vain.

It seems we have. So far, the "Cerridwen Moonbunny's", the "Moondaisy's", and their clueless kin seem to be immune to satire and humor. Never mind the site is as fake as Michael Jackson's face, they want it removed, and if you don't agree with them, then you obviously must be supporting animal abuse.

Gag me with a two-by-four. These people wouldn't have a clue if Steve and Blue came up and smacked them over the head with a sledgehammer with Blue's pawprint on the business end...........
