I've only ever driven though Seattle, or changed planes here. (Okay, I made a side trip to the Archie McPhee store once too, but that was in the nature of a pilgramage)

I liked the Pacific Northwest already, but this city is beautiful. Okay, maybe the company - and the novelty of snow - helps, but still.......

Looking forward to more exploring today

You, off the computer. You can talk to us later. We're always here, you're not always there.

It's 20 bucks to get into the EMP and SF museum last I checked. IMO it's really not worth that much money, but I do hear that Paul Allen is going to make it free on the first Tuesday of the month.. It might be something for another trip in. He does need excuses and all that you know ;)

TWENTY BUCKS?!??
*blinks*
I kind of debate if it's worth it too...

(Silly me, I thought Paul Allen set it up for the public to see, not so he could make a freakin' PROFIT!!) :P

It's a tax and warehouse thing. He gets a tax write off if he shows it to the public, and its a place to store the stuff and make money all in one. How do you think he got to be a billionaire?

It is true that the admission is for both the EMP and the SF museum, but it is still excessive IMO. Better wait a couple of months when they start the free Tuesdays. Call me cheap, call me po', but I can find better ways of spending my money.

LOL...reminds me of when we were planning on visiting Chicago - I got all the info and found that EVERYTHING we wanted to see had a FREE DAY but we'd have to stay there a WEEK in order to see everything on it's particular free day... ^0^

That city's nice all times of year.
And it's got a lot of really nice people in it.

there are hidden surprises (in a good way) worth a lifetime of exploration...
(find the troll bridge for instance *grin* and the statue of Lenin)

(I'd say watch out for the traffic overload but I suspect you've dealt with lots worse)
