Animal lover mauled to death after entering cheetah cage at Belgian zoo

""Karen loved animals. Unfortunately the cheetahs betrayed her trust," he said.

Police said they were investigating why Aerts entered the cage, but ruled out any foul play.

They believe she hid somewhere in the park after it closed and managed to find the keys to the cheetah cage.

Animal rights group GAIA called for the immediate closure of the zoo, saying it was unsafe for both visitors and for the cats it is home to."

You know, one of these days people will expect all animals, including humans, merely to act according to their natures.

Yep, she's stupid. And this is Mother Nature's way of putting bleach into the gene pool.

Oh, and it sounds like those poor cats need some protecting from crazy stupid people. Perhaps closing the zoo is too harsh, but since I don't know the conditions tbat they've been living in I can't say. If they were moved it might be better for them in the long run.

Either way, she was an idiot.
