During a shoot-the-bull session in the IT department here, the following (admittedly sexist) observations were made:

Mac OS X is like a porn star, sexy, sassy, and willing to show off, and usually a lot more interesting than they originally appear to be.

Vista is like a she-male porn star, sexy, sassy, willing to show off, but not quite what it appears to be and with a few surprises.

And Linux is that geeky, nerdy smart girl or guy that turns out to be a complete wear-you-out freak in the bedroom.

Beating the dead horse continuing on the theme:

MAC Classic OS (6.X-7.X) is the sexy B&W era porn star.

BeOS is the sexy, edgy, 'alternative' (Betty Page-esqe) porn star who died tragically.

DOS is the "past prime" porn star who remains viable by doing DVDA.

Embedded Linux is a midget freak porn star.

I just can't decide what OS/2 or AmigaDOS would be. And I don't even want to contemplate the fate of the TRS 80s and Commodore 6500 series (Vic 20/64) embedded OS (such as it was). Especially considering most of those got sourced for HAM radio rigs and other appliance tasks when they weren't used as doorstops.
