I am fucking sick and godsbedammed tired of the shit that I get blamed for here. Here's a news flash - if someone wants a dammed CD burned with a batch of the research papers on it in PDF format, then they should give me a ***CORRECT*** list of those papers when I make the dammed disk, not come back to me a freaking month later and give me a blortload of shit because I didn't include a single paper that we DIDN'T EVEN FUCKING GET FROM THE IDIOT RESEARCHER UNTIL 5 DAYS AFTER I BURNED THE GODSBEDAMMED CD!!!!!!!!

They can't be bothered to spend the money to replace a server that's 6 years old and dying, but they can give me shit when said server crashes despite my best efforts to keep the dammed thing running. They can't even give me the downtime to repair it before it crashes, and they don't want me to work overtime so I *can* maintain it before it crashes.

Batch of dammed idiots.

Love, if they had shit for brains they wouldn't even stink. HTF are you supposed to put a paper you didn't even get until 5 days after you burned the GDed CD on to THAT particular CD I would like to know? Blessed Be, Angelique

Document it. Document the hell out of it. "Joe-bob Grunchyunkle requested these files (list) in PDF format, burned onto CD, on day/month/year. Gave completed CD to Joe-bob on day/month/year. Joe-bob returned, day/month+1/year, to complain that a file he didn't give me wasn't included." "Server needs replacement, as noted in memo to Jane Q. PointyHairedBoss on day/month/year. Requested server downtime for preventive maintenance (noted in same memo), and was denied (verbally/written), on day/month/year." "Server crashed on day/month/year, likely because of denial of requested maintenance as noted in memo dated day/month/year"... etc. Stupid, pissy and more detail oriented than I'd want to get, but having that sort of paper trail for a while might show whoever says she's got tenure that she's... "an academic pothole in this educational highway."
