Loyalty Day....

I was chatting with a friend of mine about this press release from the White House about today being Loyalty Day

Him: "How does one celebrate "Loyalty Day" anyway?? You don't see hallmark cards or sales at WalMart for it?

Me: "Traditionally, Laura Bush and Condi Rice dance naked around the White House may pole, (symbolizing the erect phallus of Dick Chaney), to restore fertility to the land."

Him: "Ewwww....."

Me: "Later, at sundown, select members of the liberal media are ritually sacrificed by burning them in a giant wicker elephant, as an offering to the God and Goddess Ronnie and Nancy."

Him: "Pinky, you scare me"

I know. Loyalty Day was started in 1921 to counterbalance the May 1st Labour Day concept.

I can't wait to see the 'doctored' photo of Bush Sr, Bush Jr, Reagan, Ford, Nixon, and Eisenhower all patriotically saluting the US Flag and watching a parade go by.

Oh wait - that only happens in regimes in OTHER countries ... or something.

Heh - Although the idea of Ms. Rice and Mrs. Bush frolicking in the nude (with or without the phallic symbol) is enough to turn one Communist!

Considering the tenor of the above post, I was for a moment wondering exactly HOW it was that you had them saluting ... I mean, of course, with what.

I just watched "V for Vendetta" last night for the first time.

The very idea of a Loyalty Day creates an eerie, uncomfortable resonance with that movie . . .
