Between this and this drama llama attack over on abandonedplaces, (which basically boiled down to moderator explaining rules that have been there since the community was started, before he even took over, and people going "waaa! waaa! We don't want to follow the rules! waaaa! waaaa! You all are being nasty bigots and racists! waaaa! waaaa! We're taking our ball and playing elsewhere and YOU'LL BE SORRY! waaaaaa!")

wow.. I must be totally out of it, because I had no idea this stuff was going on. I know there has been various drama in certain communities (abandonedplaces about the language issues and in los_angeles about the incessant ads/spam and large image sizes, but I guess not belonging to any "mature" communities, I had no idea there was such a prevelance of icky-ness on LJ. Is someone seriously posting about bestiality and necrophelia?.. I'm sure there's going to be pedophelia posts and incest posts and rape and every other violent and/or twisted fantasy out there; this is the Internet afterall. But I guess I had hoped that there was a bit more policing going on with LJ (not that I necessarily want some stranger reading through my private posts, but I also don't have anything illegal to hide).

Do you have suggestions as to where I can find more information regarding these on going issues?
