Orbiting Earth-that-is, is a first step towards further space travel. And that's the ISS, or "International Space Station".
And groundside, Shuttle mission STS-117 was preparing to head off into the black to deliver the goods to ISS.
However, it seems that one of the mission specialists is, not to put too fine a point on it, a Browncoat. Which may not be a surprise, seems that NASA is full of Browncoats and other rebels like that.
Dahng ran, he had a special cargo for the ISS.
