I stayed last night at a Motel 6 in North Portland.

Wow. I think that this is the most unfriendly place I've been in.

The staff are nice, the room is clean and fairly large, there's WiFi, it should be nice.

But the front desk has eight different signs detailing all the ways a visitor can violate the rules of this location. There's a sign in my room with the charges for ANYTHING missing, the binder is open to all the rules and the ways they can kick you out and not refund your money.

I've never seen a hotel his paranoid before. Not even another Motel 6

We stayed at a Super 8 for Spring Collegium that was like that.

I suppose they got abused a few too many times. We stayed at one so unfriendly that I went and got my own towels from the closet instead of asking at the front desk... we got popped for that though, the closet had a camera. Sheesh. Well we didn't get thrown out but we didn't get the refund we wanted for other reasons.

Was the night clerk behind bulletproof glass? I stayed at a Motel 6 like that once. It was near a prison.
