I use NeoOffice and I haven't had a lot of problems with it, and OpenOffice on my desktop PC. I think, though, you need to have a fair amount of memory because NeoOffice and OpenOffice both have a Java component.
Neo worked batter than the XWindows/non-Java versions of OO, for me, once the Wacky Java Issues I was having went away. IM me later if you want details; i'm leaving work RSN.
