iPodding, across the universe......

Last week, I ended up with a 10 GB iPod.

This is a major cool toy. I have about 1.5 GB as an OS X boot system with repair tools on it. The address book that normally lives in my visor is now also in the iPod.

(and the font used for the contacts is rather....ummm...familar looking. Could it be, oh Newton???)

And, oh, almost 3 days worth of music, 4.58 GB. All my Jethro Tulls. All my Loreena McKenitts. All my Cirque du Soleils. All my Clannad, Fiona Joyce, soundtracks, Kate Bush, Jefferson Airplane, Love Spirals Downward, Mike Oldfield, Ofra Haza (obm), Pink Floyd, PDQ Bach, Rick Wakeman, Rondellus, Babylon 5, Tangerine Dream, Shadowfax, Wild Oats, Tori Amos, Tim Story, Steeleye Span.

All my scary music covers.

All my Tom Lehrer

All my Fleetwood Mac

All my Heather Alexander

And I'm not done yet.

This is the second coolest handheld device Apple has ever come up with. And a lot more portable than my Newton. :-)

Even have an FM transmitter for it so I can play my MP3s though my car stereo.

Tis very cool.

I am SO jealous of that toy! I have been looking for our Heather Alexander for weeks and finally thought I had found one of the CD's. It turned out to be an empty case. :( Lots and lots of way cool music you've got there. Then the ability to play it on the radio..... Damn, "I'm going to go eat worms". Blessed Be, Angelique

Heather's got a new CD out, now, too... "Musical Me/Who Am I?" with the cover looking like the bits from the Harry Potter movie. Very funny. It's all stuff that didn't make it onto con albums or such, for whatever reason. There's one song where somebody coughs rather loudly during the performance. The cough is brief, but it's enough to nix it from a regular album. She went to a local filkmeet last weekend. It was nifty. Heatherlands is her website. Very nifty stuff.
