Regarding the new iPods....
The new Nano looks like you ran an iPod though the wash and it shrank. I'm not sure the formfactor is worth it, but I'll more than likely be proven wrong.
iPod "Classic" Want. Just want. 160 GB of storage. Oh yeah, want. (Seriously though, the 80 GB would work well though)
iPod Touch. This is cool. All the features I liked about the iPhone, without the phone part. WiFi too. While I like the storage of the classic, (I use iPods to store diagnostic tools and the like), the touch is nice. Add Skype and a headset to it and.......... :-)

Date: 2007-09-05 09:50 pm (UTC)I'll probably "settle" for the 160 Gig (roughly 4 times the current one's capacity, and more than enough for my entire library), and await Apple figuring out who to cram enough storage into NAND flash chips.
I don't do portable video now, so I'm not missing anything.

Date: 2007-09-10 03:57 am (UTC)Not a big iPod fan. Then again, I didn't get any kind of mp3 player until Silkensteel trash-picked on for me. I'm using it to listen to books on audio during my commute, which I'd been using my MacBook for.
