Weekend Pondering

Since seattlejo and sarastro_us are off to Victoria for the weekend, house is just carminerose, Miss Thing, Little Bit, and myself. So I'm looking for ideas (low cost preferably) for Little Bit and I to keep us busy this weekend.

Any ideas?? Thinking of exploring some more. Or maybe prowling around some more museums or parks.

I say Yay for exploring! There are some larger parks in the area, Lincoln Park, Carkeek Park, Golden Gardens to name a few. Look at the Seattle Times weekender section. I know it's online, but I am too lazy to look it up at the moment. It will have a lot of fun things to do for the weekend, and a lot of them are free. If Miss Bit is into animals, you are fairly close to Woodland Park Zoo. If you don't mind spending the money on gas, there is Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma. If you want to make a day of it, drive to the West Seattle Ferry dock to Vashon. Drive to the other side of the island and hop another ferry (the ferries off of the island are free last I checked) and it drops you off at Point Defiance. Street fairs have started too, so if you guys like that sort of thing, it's another option. I am not sure what we have going on, but I do know that we need to get stuff for Alex's exchange thing this weekend, but we will see how that pans out. If you decide you all are bored, maybe you can come over and watch movies or something.

There are some arts and crafts festivals, none are real close to Seattle.

There is a Holland Days Festival in Lynden.
There is a Mountain Festival in Packwood.
There is an Appleblossom Festival in Wenatchee.
There is an Arts and Crafts Festival in Sequim.
