Remember last month I commented about the chain-smoking, drinking, 12-year old in Scotland who was 8 months pregnant??

Well, she had the baby. Poor wee tyke.....

Chain-smoking 12-year-old's baby fights for life

"A chain-smoking 12-year-old has become Britain's youngest mum.

But last night her baby daughter was desperately ill in hospital after suffering breathing difficulties at birth.

The tiny infant stopped breathing moments after birth, as she was cradled in the arms of her schoolgirl mother."

Let's see. 6lbs 13oz. Started having breathing problems soon after birth. Mom's 12, chain-smokes and drinks. *Her* mom's a 34 year old heroin addict, and her dad is a drug dealer . Two of her siblings are in prison. The baby's daddy's up on charges of statutory rape. *His* Mother is, of course, blaming it on the 12 year old, saying she was "dressed like a tart" and claimed to be 16.

*Faceplant* Welcome to the world kid. So very sorry you got the short end of the stick so young.

And today we have two from Bill Gates:

• "When you really look at it, Oracle's gotten where it is now by dumping cheap and buggy software on tens of thousands of businesses across the country and the world--trapping them within closed, proprietary systems and making them pay through the nose. Larry Ellison is public enemy number one when it comes to innovation and fairness." Bill Gates, (Interview with Krakt Korteks, Nov. 20, 2000)

• "Let's face it, the average computer user has the brain of a Spider Monkey." Bill Gates (To Andrew Lephter, Feb. 21, 2000)

Interesting.......

Army to switch from green to blue uniforms

"The U.S. Army plans to eliminate the green uniform worn by its soldiers for more than 100 years and switch back to traditional blue worn by those fighting the Revolutionary War.

Everyday-wear uniforms will include a dark blue jacket, light blue trousers and gray shirt, the Army said. Formal occasions will require a white shirt; soldiers' dress uniforms are already blue.

Soldiers will begin wearing the new garb by the middle of next year and all soldiers must have it by the end of 2011, the Army said."
