This is the "Masonic Sweater Store" I saw in Speed Trap South Bend, Washington

The owner of this shop said it was a former Opera House. The mark above the door says that Opera wasn't the only use for this building.

New 'Tron' races on

"Commercial director Joseph Kosinski is in final negotiations to develop and direct "Tron," described as "the next chapter" of Disney's 1982 cult classic. Sean Bailey is producing via the Live Planet banner, as is Steven Lisberger, who co-wrote and directed the original film.

Kosinski, who last month signed on to helm the remake of "Logan's Run" for Warner Bros. Pictures, will oversee the visual development of the project and have input on the script, which is being written by "Lost" scribes Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Story details are being kept secret.

The original, about a computer programr thrust into a computer and forced to fight in games he helped create, is remembered for its sci-fi gladiator-style battles and groundbreaking special effects. It was the first movie to use computer-generated images instead of models and other optical effects in conjunction with live action. The arcade game based on the movie was so popular that it earned more than the movie."

Saturday......

Saturday I'm going to be doing a combined 501st / Rebel Legion troop at Crossroads Mall in Bellevue.

Basically the National Endowment for the Arts is sponsoring The Big Read, which is a programme to "restore reading to the center of American culture"

As part of this, we're going to be helping the King County Library branch there give away books, as well as promoting reading in general. (the discussion is on “Fahrenheit 451” and one of the things they are focusing on is dystopian societies and science fiction literature.)

It's noon to 4pm. Afterwards, I may go to the social that nwsfs is running.

On one hand, the TIE outfit is the more eye catching. On the other hand, I haven't had a chance to wear my newest Jedi robes yet.

Also going to bring my Stormtrooper armor, to see which parts are salvagable and what parts are not. I'm thinking of turning it to sandtrooper armor, depending on what parts are salvagable and what parts aren't.

Sunday looks like seattlejo and I will be going to the Puyallup fair. (don't ask me to pronounce "Puyallup")

Watching DVD Volume 3 of Gundam SEED Destiny.

If there is a more annoying character than Yuna Roma Seiran, I haven't seen them yet. He's like a male version of Flay Allster, without the redeeming qualities.......
