I'm the quiet, shy bookish nerdy one. The one with glasses. The one who liked to spend time in the library and in the business lab with the teletypes and DECwriters learning BASIC. The guy in JROTC. The one taking aeronautics instead of shop.

You know, your punching bag.

I was the one who you pushed around.

I was the one who you dumped ink into their locker.

I'm the one who you slashed his bicycle tires so often that I had to get solid tires instead.

I was the one you punched out for no reason.

I was the one you constantly called "fag", "queer", "homo", "gay". Not because I was mind you, but because you THOUGHT I was. And that was good enough for you all, right? Just the suspicion of being Gay was enough for you.

Does that refresh your memory schoolmates? What about my teachers, staff, and faculty members of my high school?

I'm the one who you kept silent on when you saw me being bullied.

I'm the one who you told to "just get along" when I reported being bullied.
