Bush: “I Miss Being Pampered”

"Since leaving the White House 21 months ago, George W. Bush has kept a pretty low profile. He’s had some well-paid speaking engagements, been spotted contributing canned carrots to a Cub Scout food drive and shopping at a Dallas hardware store. Oh, and attending several Texas Rangers baseball games (Bush used to be a part owner of the team).

But now, with his book – “Decision Points” – about to be published, #43 is upping his profile. In a speech at the University of Texas at Tyler, Bush says he misses being in power and the perks that go with it.

“I miss being pampered; I miss Air Force One; I miss being commander in chief of an awesome group of (people),” he told an audience Tuesday night, according to the Tyler Morning Telegraph."
