The entire front of the house is COVERED in snails.

It's like some gastropod horror movie; "Oh my God!    Get the salt, QUICK!    No time for garlic butter!!!"

Your house? You have a serious snail problem. That many snails can ravage your garden in a day or two. You need snail bait. Or large bowls of beer.

I know that the garden snails that we have in So. Cal. are the same snails that they use for escargo, because in the 1850s, someone wanted to start an escargo farm, but they weren't very good farmers and allowed a lot of their crop to escape. That is correct, escape. A very slow moving gastropod that leaves a slime trail whereever it goes was allowed to escape.

You'd be surprised what can escape from a farm. It's not really worth the typing to be derisive about it. It doesn't surprise me much at all.
