Rant - PUMA
Jun. 27th, 2008 11:11 pmWhile the vast majority of Sen. Clinton's supporters have gotten behind Sen. Obama as per Sen. Clinton's expressed wishes and desires, there's still a vocal, loud minority saying "hell no"
They call themselves "PUMA", or "Party Unity My Ass". As near as I can tell, their entire role is that of professional victim. That and acting as a sound board for every extremist rant and rumour out there, (I though the latest funny was the one who insisted that since President Clinton acknowledged that Hawaii was improperly annexed in the 1800s, it's not a "real" or "legal" state and therefore Sen. Obama couldn't be a natural-born US citizen.)
If Sen. Obama announced a cure for cancer, PUMA and their few supporters would be citing it as "Sen. Obama wants to deny chemotherapy to patients".
Nobody has managed to explain why on earth someone would be so *stupid* to claim to support a person and the principals that claims stand for, yet go against everything that person stands for AND THAT PERSON'S EXPRESS STATED WISHES, DESIRES, AND REQUESTS!!
It would be amusing if it wasn't so sad and pathetic. They will literally scan everything Sen. Clinton says or does, go frame by frame though footage, and then say things like "See! At 31 minutes and 12 seconds, she turns 1/4th of an inch away from Sen. Obama and looks like she just got goosed by an Oompa Loompa. This SHOWS she doesn't mean what she just said about getting behind him! SEE!! SEE!! SEE!!!! YOU SEE IT TOO, RIGHT!?!?"
And then of course, about 30 other people all voice their agreement that they saw the samething, backed up with 60 sock puppets, and eventually "NoClassQuarter", "Hillaryis40444", or one of the other echo chambers all voice their agreement that this is "proof" that everything Sen. Clinton is saying about "Party Unity" and "getting behind Sen. Obama" is meaningless and what she REALLY means is to rise, fight on and vote for anyone else in November.
All in the name of "Blessed St. Hillary, Goddess of Peace", mind you.
