So former Sen. Jesse Helms, who stood for everything this country shouldn't be, departed this life on 4 July.

Personally, I suspect Sen. Helms legacy will require a dance floor and urinal on his grave.

This has been a good long weekend for not-nice people to depart the planet. A producer who tried to stiff my dad for a tv movie script is also no longer with us. May the Good Lord treat him as he treated people during his lifetime, the best blessing and curse I can think of.
