Aug. 8th, 2008 03:50 pmOhio police have own odd 911 call anecdotes
"Authorities in central Ohio have their own stories about oddball 911 calls similar to the recent one in Florida by a man upset about his Subway sandwich. Columbus police say they got one roughly two months ago from a woman unhappy with her fast-food hamburger. Lt. Brent Mull in the police radio room says the restaurant remade the burger but the customer still wasn't satisfied. Mull says other "emergency" calls have come from a mother who wanted police to do something about her 8-year-old who liked watching porn, and from workers reporting violations of office rules. Franklin County Sheriff's Lt. Karen Cotner says all calls about potential crimes must be taken seriously. The Florida Subway customer was charged with making false 911 calls."
