(Y'know, Douglas Hofstadter and some other guys did an experiment once - took a French poem to be translated into English, and gave it to three candidates: two computer programs and a monolingual Chinese speaker with a French-English dictionary and a cheat sheet for the grammar. The Chinese guy came in second.)
