It's a GAME people!!!!!!

Revealed: The 'other woman' in Second Life divorce... who's now engaged to the web cheat she's never met (Possible NSFW images)

"The new fiancee of Second Life love rat David Pollard, whose marriage crumbled when his wife caught him 'having online sex with her', was unmasked today - and denied the pair had had a cyber-affair.

Linda Brinkley, 55, known on the multi-player online game as Modesty McDonnell, revealed that since her online fling with David Pollard the couple had become engaged in real life.

But Miss Brinkley today denied that her internet love affair with Mr Pollard had led to the break-up of the 40-year-old's marriage to ex-wife Amy Taylor.

When their computer-generated selves clapped eyes on each other, she said, it was 'love at first sight'. But she claimed they weer only friends until David split with his wife."

This is why I don't usually tell even my friends that I play on Second Life. All the publicity is like this.

ON the other hand, where else can the Justice League set up a retro-futuristic headquarters in a steampunk community? Come visit when we have it done.

It's funny (or sad) how predictable the media is. It use to be that all the publicity on Second Life was over-inflated positive hype.

I guess the media finally got the hint that many SL avatars don't like them or their advertisers (these hints are normally delivered by flying penises ;) ).

I know SL is a "game," but, really, how different is that from going to someplace like alt.callahans and being another iteration of yourself in an online community? SL has graphics and a.c is only text, but otherwise I see it as being essentially the same thing -- meeting, getting to know and hanging out with people online.

I mean, most of you know why Roland and I call each other Morgan and Roland instead of those names on our legal ID's, right? ;-)

Nnnnot a game, really -- I mean, you can treat it like one, but the people you hurt are real.

Unfortunately, a large portion of the population are blingtards like that lot in the article. :/
