I own a slanket, which is the same thing, but bigger. In fact I'm using it right now.
It's about 60" by 92" with the sleeves about 12" down from the top and about 36" apart in the center. The sleeves are just very generous tubes sewn into holes. Anyone who has made garb can handle it no problem.
The key is to make proportions very generous. indeed and use the highest quality fleece you can find. The you want microfiber, here, for lightness and warmth. The sleeves to my slanket are a good 24" in diameter and about 36" long.
