Verrrrryyy interesting... So you need a gallon and a half of vegetable oil to use this thing? Yikes. Well, perhaps when I get my diesel fueled car, I can then use the used oil to fuel my car also. I really can't see this used for traditional camping. But I can see it used for those people who live way out in the tullies, where utilities are just not there.

As for Potrero, as Selene suggested, I have seen food vender with huge fryers make funnel cakes and churros. This probably would be easier to transport and, in the long run, cheaper.
