patgundLittle Bit started Series 2 of Scooby-Doo "The Sarah Jane Adventures" last night. ("I would have gotten away with taking over/destroying the world if it wasn't for those meddling kids!")
You know, if there is an overlaying theme to "SJA", it might just be "You know all those various aliens and the like that The Doctor defeated?? Well, they're pissed and quite willing to take out their anger on the Earth."
Basically it seems like Sarah Jane's biggest job, (along with UNIT and Torchwood), seems to be cleaning up The Doctor's messes after the fact. At what point do they finally tell him "Run along now, you've done quite enough damage, thank you......" ??

I could not get into SJA. Just a little to kiddie for me, but sounds like you have her on the right track. Now, to find some of the "kiddie" versions of Torchwood for her... (the pre-water shed versions).
