Okay, I admit, I'm a major geek. But I found out something cool (to me at any rate)

Okay, June is when the next "Transformers" film comes out. Having been underwhelmed by the first one, (but more impressed with the toys that also came out), that part is "meh".

Except I found out that one of my favourite Transformers, Jetfire, will be in it. Now you have to understand I have most of the Jetfires that have been released, including the original Macross Variable Fighter version.

So it turns out Jetfire is in the new one. Quote:

"Jetfire is portrayed as an aged Decepticon who becomes an Autobot due to his wounds and old age. He is partially seen in a desert with a cane of sorts (which is formed by his vehicle mode's landing gear) in the film's teaser trailer, while being attacked by Scorponok."

There's a picture from the trailer of Jetfire in his robot form hanging around the planes at AMARC. Okay, so far so cool.

Until I found out his alt-form. An SR-71 "Blackbird", one of my favourite aircraft, and one I have family history in. (I joke sometimes that the Blackbird and me "went operational" in the same year at the same Air Force Base)

My favourite Transformer. Turning into my favourite aircraft. SQUEEEEE!!!!!

The movie may still suck dead penguins. But I can tell you at least one toy from it is coming home with me.......
