I tried to use the Kindle software for the iPhone last night.

The text was very clear and easy to ready, but it literally takes me longer to flip the page than it does to read the text at the rate I read books.

I'm experimenting with Stanza - it's not linked to Amazon.com, but you can upload several kinds of ebooks to the phone (including PDFs and .rtf files, although formatting is a little wonky) and it seems to work all right.
