Rainy Thoughts.
Quiet day, rain outside,
wrapped up in my blanket,
I contemplate life, and myself.
Steam drifts off the tea,
the warm scent of chamomile,
wafting over my thoughts.
My cat pops up on my lap,
insistent about it's petting,
Black & white fur, purring.
Soft pitter-patter of rain,
hiss of wet tyres on the road,
gray skies, pouring wonders.
Evening comes, I light a candle,
curl up, me and my cat,
reading by the light of the flame,
while thunder echos the purring of the cat.
