Well, I finally saw "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" today. Here's my thoughts and comments on it:

Doesn't the Ministry of Magic have some sort of contact with some form of Child Protective Agency? Seems like Harry should have been taken out of the Dursley's care long ago.

Okay, you're trying to tell me that nobody in the Dursley's tract home project would notice a flying Ford Anglica in the Dursley's backyard? Or would they just think it was another expensive toy that Dudley got??

I *want* the Weasley's house.

Dobby was slightly overdone.

Lockhardt has this attitude that made you want to pet him with a chainsaw.

Where can I get Floo powder? Esp. since I can't seem to get this transfer portal spell working......

Do not drive or crash into a willow. They hate that.

What's the difference between the scream a mandrake makes when pulled from the pot, and a baby makes when he/she wakes up hungry?? Both sounds can etch glass.

Ron and Hermione - can we say "foreshadowing" boys and girls?? Knew you could.

The scene with Aragog in the Dark Forest. With all the spiders? Cut about 5 minutes from the begining, 5 minutes from the end, great.

And speaking of that scene, how on earth did any of my friends who are arachnophobic watch that?? I don't mind spiders and *I* was starting to get creeped out.

Snapes wasn't nearly was vile as last movie. Still pretty icky though. Doesn't seem to like Malfoy much, but puts up with him.

Hermione goes to a furry convention!!

Speaking of Hermione, she ended up in hospital quite a bit this movie, eh?

I couldn't have been the only one in the theatre weeping when Dumbledore was talking about the Phoenix. (Sigh. RIP, Richard Harris.)

No, really, they only needed to show Ron burping slugs *once*, okay??

The scenery shots with the flying car? Want to go there. No really, want to go there tomorrow.

I dated someone that reminds me a lot of Moaning Myrtle. And not in a good way either.

It's amazing how much modification you can do to a Ford Anglica.

It's amazing how much abuse you can inflict on a Ford Anglica.

Ford Anglicas are nasty when they go feral.

Muggles have something simular to a Howler. It's called a flamewar.

At least the Wizardling world hasn't figured out a way to send spam via Owl.

Needed to tighten up scenes in the Chamber of Secrets.

Wait a minute.....Hogwarts was built about 1000 years ago. Godric Gryffindor was one of the founders. Then why in the world does the "Gryffindor Sword" look like a tarted-up dress sword from, say, 16th to 18th century???

Overall, good movie. Look forward to the DVD. Do *not* look forward to the fact that the next movie won't be out until November of 2004.

Then again, the next *book* might be out by November of 2004........
