While the doctor gave me until the 25th for leave, I came back today while I still had some vacation time left. (otherwise I would have had two more paid days before going on unpaid leave,)

I should have stayed out.

Not only has my office been trashed and equipment is scattered from hell to breakfast, but clueless wonder boss has a reoccuring email problem due to the fact she lets her Eudora mailboxes get up to the 75MB to 1GB range before archiving, and Eudora's email boxes get flaker than french pastry at anything above 20MB in size.

Plus I have a computer that I ordered before I left that was needed today and still hasn't arrived. Now this is great. Researchers don't get me the specs on the system needed until mid-June. I spec the system out, put together an order form, and (since it's above $500), bring it to clueless wonder boss for approval.

Where it sits on her desk for three fricking weeks, (and she ignores three reminders done via email), before she decides it's a bloody emergency and this system needs to be ordered now. Finally get the order signed a day before I go out on leave. It's marked "rush", should take 7-10 days.

We're on day 10 now, and purchasing (who seems to have a different definition of "rush" than I do), didn't even make the order until two days after I submitted it. Meanwhile, it's needed today. Which means I may have to get a grand or two out of the cashier's office, and go to Fry's or CompUSA to buy the dammed thing today.

And, get this, somehow this is all my fault, according to my idiot boss, for not getting the order in faster.

The woman needs to be placed into conservatorship. Fast.

Here's hoping that job interview you had comes out with something else for you.

*Grrrr* I am fucking AMAZED that is YOUR fault when the clueless wonder couldn't be bothered to sign the papers for 3 weeks. If she had signed them right away the computer would BE THERE! *Hands you the weapons> Blessed Be, Angelique

Try to think happy thoughts... Like madam clueless in various torture devices, or perhaps a flame thrower?

It goes without saying, but you're too good for that job of yours.

A flame thrower?? That would be a little too quick for my liking.
I think perhaps papercuts and lemon juice...
at least for starts.

Oh come on, flame throwers can kill, but they can also incompacitated by delivering unendurable levels of pain which few, if any, pain medications can help. Imagine cooking a steak on a propane flame which is too high... The outside starts to blacken and peal pretty quickly, yet the interior is still nice and pink... Flame throwers can do very much the same.

(I don't go for revenge normally. I think the world should be glad of this.)

I thought you wanted to torture her! When doing that you start slowly. While I agree that a flame thrower can create unedurable levels of pain, it also makes it to where they feel nothing else. Start with the small local area pains, and work your way up. If you start out with an extreme, it leaves little for her to fear. Fear IS the greatest tortures of them all. Not knowing what this person will do to you it can be so much fun...

::Chuckles:: Ok, I concede that point. But I don't think Gund wants to have to deal with that level of maintenance a slow torture would require. 15 seconds and she'd be out of his life. (What a wonderful thought!)

You know, I'd settle for bapping her on the head and dumping her off in the outskirts of Barstow. Or maybe Blythe. See if she manages to find her way home.

But what would you do if she DOES find her way home??

This would require inteligence and some form of problem solving capability, both of which she has consistantly, and undeniably, proven she lacks.

Of course, nothing is truly fool proof to a properly determined fool.

Good point.
Ok, how bout putting her up to her neck in sand, pouring honey around and inviting the fire ants? Its still slow, but doesn't need any maintenance on his part.....

(Can you tell, this isn't the first time I've had this sort of discussion?)

She has always been that bad. It's seven years since I worked in that lab, and she was doing the same kind of stupid crap then. I used to wish that a squadron of giant ninja cockroaches would ambush her in her office and leave nothing but a wet spot and a hideous blue dress. Maybe something can still be done on this front.

Unfortunately it appears the duration and frequency of these attacks had been increasing. Blessed Be, Angelique

And that seashell. Can't forget the dammed seashell she wears.

She's gotten a lot worse in the almost 2 years I've been here. I suspect she's had so many microstrokes her brain is looking like a particularly runny swiss cheese.

I repeat....

My place, after work!
I'll be sure the roomie is offline so you can call and let me know when you'll be there. 619-561-1773

A couple of thoughts...

Oleander tea makes for a fast, painless death. Takes only about 1-2 leaves to kill a person, 8 to kill a horse.

While it is very difficult to extract ricin from castor beans, they can still kill a person.

Euthanasia solution, if taken orally, can still kill a person if enough is swallowed.

Keep on picturing the woman boxed up and sent to Kuala Lumpur via parcel post, and smile quietly. Then hit a job search for something that suits your talents without a horrible boss.

Gee. Then he should obviously use 8 to kill a horse's ass. ;D Blessed Be, Angelique
