Stating the obvious
May. 7th, 2003 01:45 pmWhile listening to the radio on the way to work today, I heard a story about a recent survey of Hummer owners / drivers.
Want to guess what their Number #1 complaint about their oversized SUV?? Gas mileage.
To which I would like to say "Well, DUH!!!!". What the hell were they expecting?? The original Hummer was a civilian adaption of the military HUMVEE, and gas mileage was not at the top of the military's priority list. And even though the new H2 has been designed for the civilian market from the top down, it still wasn't designed for gas mileage.
So, in other words, what the hell were they thinking?? This is a flippin' Hummer, not a Prius. You want a huge SUV to make up for other short comings, then deal with the fact your gas mileage is going to be crap.
