patgundI am so godsbedammed sick and tired of working my ass off keeping this godsdammed place running and operational and then getting a load of unmitigated CRAP in return.
Here's a fucking clue boys and girls. I'm here sometimes til late at night to make sure what I have to do doesn't interfere with your fucking research. A lot of times I'm holding your network together with bailing wire and twine because you can't be fucking bothered to give me the proper funds to do my godsbedammed job right.
My bosses give me NO backup on anything, I get accused of IM all day becaue NOBODY CAN BE FUCKING BOTHERED TO ASK ME WHAT THE FUCKING HELL I'M DOING!!!!!! I IM no more or less than anyone else in this lab, but because I'm administrative, not research, that's somehow bad. Newsflash - I need the contact with intellegent life. This place doesn't rate as such.
I get to spend two to four days next week configuring mail and file servers I should have *HAD* 6 months ago much less done by now. That's on top of redoing all the webpages, maintaining all the computers, digitizing video into MPEG format, and stripping down all of the laptop hard drives and installing fresh new OS's on them. Assuming I even *GET* all the laptops back because everyone thinks that they belong to them and rules don't apply to them.
I am so tempted to take the rest of the day off as a fucking mental health day and tell them to go screw themselves.
