The Spam Count
Jul. 21st, 2003 01:11 am Well, since I had let the meat by-product build up in my inbox, let's sort what just got reported to my ISP's anti-spam mailbox.
Spams = 258
133 - Korean or Russian language (Still the #1 it seems)
41 - Viagra or "Male Enhancement" supplipments (These are starting to get more and more common.)
25 - "Hot Horny Teens want you!" scams (They do??)
15 - "Lonely Housewives in your area looking for fun" (Sigh. I remember when the "Hot, lonely housewife" mail was the second most common. Now look at it. I feel so abandoned.....(sniff!))
10 - Loan or home refinance scams (Nope)
8 - Credit Card scams (Uh, no.)
8 - Job scams (Still not that bad)
6 - Book or Music spams (This is a new one)
6 - Random Hardware/Software scams (All for things I don't need)
4 - Fake "Microsoft Security Patch" Virus/Spams (Speaking of things I don't need.)
2 - Generic Porn (Both those "I missed you on ICQ" Never mind I don't use ICQ anymore because of the spam messages.)
