New Line Cinema plans to show the extended versions of "Fellowship of the Ring" and "The Two Towers" in theatres two weeks before the December 17th release of "Return of the King"
"Fellowship of the Ring", at 208 minutes, will be on December 5th.
"The Two Towers", at 214 minutes, will be on December 12th, a month
after it comes out on DVD.
December 16th will see a back-to-back-to-back showing of all three movies, with "Fellowship" showing at 3pm, "Towers" showing at 7pm, and "Return" showing at 11pm, which will carry it over to the offical release date of December 17th.
