...or is it just User Stupidity? Many of the problems pointed out could have been solved with the user just... oh... looking before doing.

He calls it "Bad design," I call it "Darwin In Action."

In good lighting, with plenty of time to contemplate the problem, and an understanding of what the gadget or sign is trying to do, anybody can figure it out. Good design is making something that you can figure out instantly when tired and in a hurry when it's dark out and it's raining.
