Time to switch to backup brain......
Aug. 24th, 2004 12:59 pmI jokingly call my Handspring Visor Prism my "brain", because of the amount of day-to-day information I keep on it.
Well, I had been noticing that the battery wasn't holding a charge very well anymore. And the digitizer didn't always react. Annoyances, but nothing to severe.
Until the unit failed completely a few weeks ago.
Well, figured it was worth a new battery, so ordered it.
That solved the battery problem. None of the rest. Even a hot sync and dumping the memory failed. In effect, the unit is broken.
(grumble)
I just was given a Handspring Visor Prism that I had intended to give to a friend who is trying to set up her own business. That's on hold now - she told me to go ahead and use that one as a replacement for mine.
Meanwhile, trying to decide to get the old "brain" fixed, (the new one has all my data on it), or simply try to get a newer on eBay. Or even spending the money to get it fixed *and* get the 16MB upgrade for it as well.
Bother. Problem is I use the bloody thing too much.
