Chocolate Abuse??
Sep. 13th, 2004 10:07 amWhile wandering around UTC yesterday,
ckgriffin and I found a new store, Chuao Chocolatier. And being comfirmed chocolate addicts, we had to check.
Now, their dark chocolate seashells were really very good, and they had a "Pyramid Cake" that looked very good.
But their dark chocolate bon-bons were.....well, umm......"interesting". And really didn't sound that good.
The "Zen" actually sounded good to me, (Green tea infused ginger ganache). And the Gran Cacao (Bittersweet Ganache with 73% cocoa) sounds really good. But I can't say the same about the "Modena", (Strawberry caramel with balsamic vinegar from Modena.) And neither of us found the "Chevere" interesting (Goat cheese, Williams Pear, and crushed black pepper butter cream). I can see some of my friends liking the "Picante" (California Raisin fondue and Napa valley cabernet caramel, spiced with chili and cayenne pepper), but I can't say it appeals to me.
