Well, that worked....
Dec. 31st, 2004 10:10 amField tested (well, backyard tested) a pavilion design last night. Basically a tent in a tent, with double tarp walls to insulate.
Stayed warm and dry the entire night. This is a good thing.
Would like to figure out if the air matress can be adapted to use in the field though, It's a wonderful queen-sized one with frame, extra thick and insulated. Problem is that it has a built-in pump, and I don't know yet if it can use an external pump. If it can, I want to get one of my own for Potrero. The idea of not having to kneel down to get into bed appeals to me and my knees.
