patgundI'm working on my resume and letter of interest to the headhunter, expressing interest in applying for the Qatar job, when I see this charming bit of news....
"Car bomb targets theatre in Qatar"(BBC News)
"A suspected suicide bomber targeting a theatre near a British school in Qatar has killed one male Briton and injured about 12 other people.
The car bomb blast occurred at the Doha Players theatre outside the capital, Doha, where Shakespeare's Twelfth Night was being performed."
I'm still going to apply, but I suspect I'm going to be taking the claims from people that Qatar is "boring" with a grain of salt...... (And just means I have to weigh the danger value vs. the salary. So far, Qatar is still safer than many other parts of the region.)
