It's back........
Oct. 16th, 2003 10:18 am....and I could have done without it.
The teddy bear desert dream came back last night. That, (coupled with my knees hurting all night), did not make for a good night.
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, the teddy bear desert dream is one I've been having on and off for almost 4 years now. And it's almost always the same.
It starts out in a desert, except instead of sand, the desert is made up of millions and millions and millions of teddy bears of all shapes and sizes. I spend some time strugging up teddy bear dunes and though teddy bear drifts. In the distance, I see the dark cloud of an approaching teddy bear storm. I try to seek shelter, when I find a group of silent nomads riding stuffed toy camels. (The camels, BTW, move like real ones). Most of the times, the nomads have the faces of people I know and usually trust. However, they don't make any sign of recognitizion or acknowledgement to me. They hand me the reins to a camel for me to ride, and motion me to follow them. I follow them into an oasis filled with all sorts of stuffed animals, (I see stuffed tigers and lions hunting and bringing down toy antelopes at one point.)
In the oasis, we shelter while the teddy bear storm rages around us. When the teddy bear storm subsides, the nomads motion for me to follow them, and I get on the toy camel and follow them though the teddy bear dunes and across the teddy bear drifts. We eventually end up entering into a fortress made of blocks of teddybearstone. The nomads motion for me to dismount and follow them into the fortress. At this point, the dream usually ends or blurrs into something else.
A massively annoying dream it is. I wish I knew what the hell it meant.
