Since several people lately have asked me about memory installation on those models
iBook, iBook (Firewire) and iBook SE (Firewire): Customer-Installable Parts Procedures
iBook G4 Do-It-Yourself Repair and Upgrades
iMac (Slot Loading): Installing or Replacing Memory
Depending on model of Clamshell iBook, the Max amount of memory you can max it out to is either 288MB or 320MB, depending on how much built-in memory is there. (Basically you use a 256MB SO-DIMM at 66 MHz or faster)
With a iBook G4, you're can bump it up to 640 MB to 1.2GB, depending on built-in memory. You're looking at a PC-2100 SO-DIMM at 266 MHz.
With the iMac DV (Slot Loading), you can max out the memory to 1 GB, using two standard 512MB PC100 168-pin at 100 MHz.
Hope this helps
