Grrr.......
May. 23rd, 2005 03:41 pmA word comes to mind......."hypocrites".
Pregnant grad told to skip ceremony takes the stage
"A pregnant student who was banned from graduation at her Roman Catholic high school announced her own name and walked across the stage anyway at the close of the program.
Alysha Cosby's decision prompted cheers and applause Tuesday from many of her fellow seniors at St. Jude Educational Institute."
Why am I saying hypocrites??? The very last line in the article:
"The father of Cosby's child, also a senior at the school, was allowed to participate in graduation."
That's right, they banned her from walking across the stage to get her diploma, but *allowed* the father of her child to walk across to get *HIS* diploma.
How much more two-faced can you get? They should have either allowed both of them, or banned both of them. Stopping her while allowing him is nothing but sexist nonsense and stupidity.
