Republican? Want a Video iPod???
May. 12th, 2006 05:58 pmAs a special gift to the top five "House Parties" that raise money for the GOP on May 22nd, the Republican National Committee is giving away five "Special Republican Edition iPods"

These are special red-white-and-blue flag covered video iPods. Doesn't say if they come with any special content though.
They are quick to note that "The Republican National Committee is not affilliated with Apple Computer, maker of the iPod Video". Actually, considering that Al Gore is on Apple's BoD, and that Steve Jobs has been a regular contributor to Democratic causes, I'm quite suprised that they're offering an Apple product at all. (Yes, I know Rush Limbaugh is a vocal Apple supporter. Doesn't change the fact I'm surprised he uses their products as well.)
