patgundA....."special".....fad in KSA right now is "drift racing". Basically what you get when you get bored, speed-addicted young males with more money than brains and more testosterone than common sense together with fast cars.
This has become quite popular in KSA as a result. With mounting injuries, accidents, and just plain death.

The accident and death toll isn't helped by people running out in front of the cars to try and touch them or jump away at the last second.
There's some reports of it hitting Iraq and the Emirates as well. And it explains some of the weirder tyre marks, (not to mention rolled over and crushed cars) here in Qatar as well. However, Qatari males favourite stupidity seems to be more the trick of getting a SUV up on two wheels (usually the passenger side), and riding like that while the passenger hangs out the window and drags something along the ground. Usually resulting in rollovers, injury and/or death.
